STATE Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi attended the Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards event last night in Yangon, during which she presented awards for outstanding Aachievemnt in film and the arts. “Duty is very important.
If everyone, including parents, sons, daughters, teachers, students, artistes, and the audience fulfil their duties, our country will have no requirements. No country can compete with a country of dutiful people” she said.

If our country has equal rights and duties, we will be better off than other countries. If not physically, we can be mentally better off. By being mentally better off, we can raise the physical standards step by step. I would like to urge our artistes to value themselves, value their art and value the country,” added the State Counsellor.
