Women’s football: Myanmar ties 1-1 with Thailand in friendly match

THE Myanmar women’s football team drew with the Thailand women’s team in an International “A” women’s friendly match at the Bangkok Thonburi University Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, at 5.30 p.m. (MMT) yesterday.
        The match was played as a preparation for the AFF Women’s Football Championship.
        The Myanmar women’s football team included goalkeeper Zar Zar Myint and players Ei Yadanar Phyo, Zin Mar Win, Wai Wai Aung, Nge Nge Htwe, Khin Mo Mo Tun, Khin Malar Tun (captain), Khin Moe Wai, Naw Aalo War Phaw, Win Theigi Tun and Yi Yi Oo.
        The two teams fought hard but the first half ended with a blank scoreboard.
        In the second half, Thai footballer Kanjana Sung-Ngoen (No. 21) scored a goal for the Thailand team at the 48th minute and then July Kyaw (No. 19) equalised for the Myanmar team at the 80th minute.
