Thai Performance Troupe entertains at Mandalay National Theatre

THE Thailand Traditional Performance event, in commemoration of 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Myanmar, was held on Saturday night at the National Theatre in Mandalay.
        Present at the event were Mandalay Region Women’s Committee patron Dr. Yu Yu May, Mandalay Mayor Dr. Ye Lwin and Mandalay Region cabinet members, Hluttaw representatives, departmental officials as well as Minister for Culture of Thailand Mr. Vira Rojpojchanarat, officials from Thai Embassy in Myanmar, students of National University of Art and Culture (Mandalay) and art and performance enthusiasts.
        In his greeting speech, Thailand Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Mr. Jukr Boon-Long said Masked Dance Performance of Thailand is going to be performed in commemoration of 70th anniversary of Thai-Myanmar diplomatic relations and there are a lot of similar cultures between Myanmar and Thailand at the Rama Yana performance. He also expressed his wish to strengthen bilateral relationship between Myanmar and Thailand.
        Then, Daw Khin Kyi Pyar rector of National University of Art and Culture (Mandalay)also expressed her wish to develop bilateral friendship.
        Then, the Rama Yana performance was jointly entertained by Performance Troupe members of Thailand Ministry of Culture and Myanmar Ministry of Culture.
