76 Mile Mini Rest Stop on Yangon-Mandalay Highway to Receive 20 New Shops

New shops will be added to 76 Mile Mini Rest Stop, which receives up to 1,200 visitors daily, according to U Han Zaw, Union Minister of Construction, during the Phyithu Hluttaw meeting held on June 19.
        “The Ministry of Construction operates 76 Mile Mini Rest Camp, and revenue from it go directly to the ministry. Adding 20 more shops will benefit locals by creating more jobs,” U Han Zaw said.
        The rest stop has created jobs for 300 peoples so far, and adding the 20 additional shops will create more job opportunities for local people.
        80 percent of workers — 250 people — employed at the stop are locals serving over 30,000 customers every month.
        The camp is built like the ones in ASEAN countries, and generating over K10 million in profits per month.
