The fifth international tourism exhibition will be held at Tatmadaw Hall in Yangon from January 12 to January 13, the organizer said during the press conference.
“We’ve managed to hold four previous exhibitions. By organizing these events, we are promoting tourism that can boost the country’s improvement. Thus, we are making this a priority,’’ U Ohn Myint, Vice President of Myanmar Tourism Federation, said.
The federation has been organizing tourism exhibitions in Yangon and Mandalay with the aim of improving the country’s tourism sector. Visitors to the exhibition experience services such as purchasing local and foreign tour packages and flight tickets as well as for those who want to go overseas for education or health with special promotion.
This year a special feature at the exhibition will be Chin indigenous people’s traditional dance, tradition cuisine, garment and products.
In addition the tour company, local airlines, hotels, foreign hospitals, banks and insurance companies will all take part in the exhibition.
