Aung Kaung Mann was part of the bronze-medal winning team at the recently concluded Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines. The 21-year-old put on an excellent performance in the SEA Games, scoring the highest number of goals in the tournament, with five.
Due to his potential, Thai League 1 and Malaysian Super League clubs expressed interest in signing him for the coming season.
“I’ve got the agreement to join the club in Thailand but my team wants a higher fee than they are offering. I still have one year on my contract which ends this year. Since I could not join with the new club in Thailand, I will continue doing my best for my club Ayeyawady United. I don’t want to give any othr comments on cancellation of the transfer,” said Aung Kaung Mann.
He says he will continue with Ayeyawady United in 2020 season and if he will receive an offer from other Thai clubs, he will consider their offers.
Meanwhile, Suam Lam Mang and Myat Kaung Khant moved to the Thailand’s League 3 club Maungkan United and League 2 club Chainat Hornbill FC, respectively, for the 2020 season.TOP IMAGE: Aung Kaung Mann in action during men’s football tournament in the Southeast Asian Games 2019 in the Philippines on December 7.
