Markets were sprayed with disinfectant as measures against the COVID-19 virus in Yankin Township, Yangon Region, yesterday evening.
Moe Saydana Charity Association (Yangon), Sanpya Social Welfare and Rescue Team, Ahman Youths Charity Association (Yangon), members of the fire brigade, Yangon’s Municipal workers and market authorities participated in the activities.
“We sprayed disinfectant solution on the markets and roads at 11 wards in Yankin Township since the beginning of March 24th. On the following days, we began spraying fire stations and police stations as well as staff quarters in Yankin and South Oakkalapa Townships. It aims to clean up. All organizations participated in our activities. We have a plan to spray with disinfectant in the remaining Townships,” said Khin Mya Aye, Chairperson of Moe Saydana Charity Association.
The Ministry of Health and Sports reported that three additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Myanmar on March 27th, bringing the total number of cases to eight.
